The first shooting is always the psychological barrier. After that, escalation becomes easier, faster, and more reflexive. ICE will not concede authority through intimidation. Continued defiance doesn’t de-escalate the system, it primes it. If this trajectory holds, confrontations won’t decrease, they’ll multiply, with higher risk on every side.
